A Certificate was given to a passenger of the first in the world section of a string road

Last week the First Deputy Minister of Transportation of the Russian Federation Mr. Nasonov accompanied by Mr. Maryanov, Secretary of Scientific and Technical Council of the Ministry, and Mr. Nagovitsyn, Head of Scientific and Technical Policy Department of the Ministry of the Ways of Communication, visited the UST testing ground in the town of Ozyory in Moscow Region.

This working trip was arranged as the follow-up of his recent visit to the exposition of "Unitsky SPC" at "CityTransExpo-2002" Exhibition in Sokolniki. There the invested with the high authority Transport Engineer saw an operational freight model section of a string road and considered it necessary to include in his working schedule a detailed acquaintance with the testing stand of this promising invention.

Though in compliance with the safety instructions the Deputy Minister had to put up with the role of a passenger rather than a test-pilot, he enjoyed the trip. Actually, he felt nothing extreme about it as it could be expected: just an ordinary comfortable trip along the smooth road elevated above the ground.

When the high-ranking passenger returned to the ground Mr. Anatoly Yunitskiy handed him a memorial certificate stating that he was one of the first on the Planet passengers of the Unitsky String Transport.

Before Mr. Nasonov had left the testing ground he wished every success to the UST developers and fixed the date for a broadened meeting to be arranged in the town of Ozyory with the involvement of Scientific and Technical Council of the Ministry of Transportation and the RF Ministry of the Ways of Communication with the aim to give a collegiate assessment to the feasibility of a wide application of string roads in the transportation sector of the country.
