EcoTechnoPark object: trussed-string overpass for cargo SkyWay

A trussed-string overpass looks like two string trusses connected with each other into a space structure by means of sway rods. Strained elements (strings) are located inside truss chords and concreted with them. Lower and upper truss chords are carried out in the form of load-bearing beams, with railheads located on a lower beam.

A rail-string truss is both an overpass superstructure and a track structure, as well as a rail. Such a multi-purpose execution "three-in-one" allows to make the transport overpass lightweight, transparent, cost-effective and convenient for construction and structure assembly, in addition to its high durability and strength.

A trussed-string overpass SkyWay is one of the most effective solutions for transport overpass construction. Such an overpass is lightweight, solid, reliable, durable and inexpensive - it has no analogues in the world.

It allows to make superstructures more lightweight and delicate. A conventional overpass of a beam type bears mostly its own weight, its main load making 90% and more (the overpass weight in relation to load). In SkyWay transport system, however, a superstructure weight makes 20-30% and the rolling stock weight - over 70%. This fact was also proved at the test site for SkyWay first generation in the town of Ozyory, Moscow region (2001-2009) - the track structure with the weight of 120 kg/m was able to bear the useful load of up to 15 ton mass (modified truck ZIL-131). That means that the track structure (superstructure) weight at the span of, for example, 36 m made only 4,320 kg (22% of total load), and the rolling stock weight - 15,000 kg (78%).
