Australian delegation back to Minsk again

On June 13, a delegation of Australian transport experts headed by Mr. Rod Hook, Ex-Transport Chief of South Australia and CEO of Rod Hook and Associates (RHA), arrived in Minsk.

After announcing itself loudly in the largest Australian media a month ago, the promising SkyWay project could not but gain resonance among the public. The new advanced technology became a subject of discussion at the highest level, as a result of which Rod Hook, as a representative of SkyWay project in Australia, was approached by at once several large engineering companies that stated their interest in project development. Upon the results of preliminary negotiations, there was formed a delegation from their list headed by Mr. Rod Hook himself, who came to Minsk. The purpose of their visit is to carry out expert examination of the technology, get an insight into the current construction stage, as well as negotiate the details of further cooperation.

On the second day of their stay in the Belarusian capital, our guests visited the construction site of SkyWay demonstration and certification center and pilot and experimental production of SkyWay Technologies Co., where they familiarized themselves with the course of works on creation of the track structure, infrastructure facilities and rolling stock, which is planned to be presented to the world community at InnoTrans, the International Trade Fair for Transport Technology, in September 2016 in Berlin.

The trip took place in a friendly atmosphere and aroused a lot of positive emotions and bright impressions. According to the delegation representatives, "the construction has made great progress compared to September, when Rod Hook came here for the first time during the construction of station foundation". His colleagues, specialists of one of the largest Australian engineering companies, who have come specifically to carry out technological expert examination, say that all the solutions we demonstrate are used in their work. However, we combine them in a very original way and they are looking forward to starting our collaborative work on SkyWay project implementation in Australia.

It bears reminding that in September, 2015, our Australian colleagues already paid a visit to the Minsk office of SkyWay Group of Companies. The visit resulted in Rod Hook and Anatoly Yunitskiy signing an Agreement of intent and working through a strategy to promote SkyWay technology on the territory of Australia. This visit has a more varied program and marks a new stage in the development of Australian-Belarusian partnership.
