On June 14, 2017, the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus hosted a seminar dedicated to the innovative SkyWay technology. The leaders and senior employees of specialized academic institutions, universities, ministries and authorities of the Republic of Belarus, as well as the employees of the design and engineering company - SkyWay Technologies Co. - participated in the seminar.

The author and General designer Anatoly Yunitskiy made a report presentation of the SkyWay project followed by a discussion and an exchange of views. The questions addressed to the developers touched upon technical, operating, economic and other aspects of the string transport. Special attention was paid to the consideration of the prospects for the application of the proposed solutions in the Republic of Belarus, as well as to their export and innovative potential. The general attitude of the majority of participants of a three-hour discussion was aptly described by a member of senior scientific staff at Transport University, who recalled that 40 years passed from the time of the steam locomotive invention to its implementation. According to him, at first everyone was saying that it would not go, then they claimed it would be impossible to stop it!

Following the results of the seminar, the project on the whole gained support. The possibilities of further cooperation were discussed, as well as the contribution that the Belarusian science could make to the development of the SkyWay string transport.
