Unibike on sagging section of lightweight transport system

Work is continuing on the newly assembled sagging section of the lightweight passenger transport system in SkyWay EcoTechnoPark. This time the film crew of our information service visited the center for testing, demonstration and international certification of SkyWay in Maryina Gorka in order to depict for you the moment of testing unibike that replaced unitruck on the route.

In our previous news releases we have already informed you about the start of testing this track structure with the help of freight rolling stock. You will learn from the interview with the Chief of the testing Bureau at SkyWay Technologies Co. Dmitriy Kniga what parameters were researched on the day of filming, what specifics were about them and what will follow after today's features research of the rolling stock and the first transport system, the construction of which was completed before all the other ones in SkyWay EcoTechnoPark.

Mikhail Kirichenko: Hallo everybody! Here is Mikhail Kirichenko with you. You are watching SkyWay news, where we tell you about the developments and implementation of breakthrough transport technologies. We are today in SkyWay EcoTechnoPark. Important events are taking place here. They will be explained by Dmitriy Kniga, Chief of testing Bureau at SkyWay Technologies Co.

Dmitriy Kniga: Today we are testing unibike on a high sagging structure, checking its raise operation, traction adhesion and other features. We have tested today all the 400 meters with the unibike. Today we have additional difficulties. A very strong abrupt wind. However, everything is in the regular operation mode.

M.K.: As I understand, extreme trials are a principal part in testing both SkyWay track structure and rolling stock.

D.K.: Yes, it is one of the types of testing, when we have additional wind load affecting both the running vehicles and track structures. Today we have exactly such conditions.

M.K.: How does unibike overcome the problems like a strong wind we have today?

D.K.: It moved up steadily, without any problems. We stopped it in the middle of the ascent, tried to restart the motion. Its movement is absolutely steady. We are inspired by it.

M.K.: As I know, this will be followed by the ride of unibike and unitruck on the circle.

D.K.: Yes, we have already driven unitruck on the circle. The next test will be the motion of unibike on the closed circle. Ascents and descents. Further tuning of the systems. Everything is scheduled.

M.K.: When can we expect it?

D.K.: Next week. We have a tough working schedule for it.
