EcoTechnoPark: the features being checked during acceptance tests

The tests with SkyWay rolling stock (2-seat unibike and 14-passenger unibus) on-site the testing and demonstration center of SkyWay technology EcoTechnoPark go on at the second phase of acceptance testing and their subsequent certification.

The 2-seat unibike is a vehicle designed to take an intermediate position between personal and public modes of transport, as well as to service passengers on tourist routes, in nature reserves, wildlife parks, ski resorts, etc. The Transport system equipped with unibikes can transport up to 10 thousand passengers per hour. Its speed is up to 150 km/h. Combined with exceptional aerodynamic features (Cx of the unibike in the actual design option is equal to 0.07, which is much better than that in modern sports cars), the system allows to reach the speed of up to 150 km/h at the energy consumption in fuel equivalent of 2.2 liters per 100 kilometers.

Additional energy savings can be achieved by equipping the vehicle with a bike-generator transforming muscle force into electricity and returning it to the system. Thus, the unibike can reach 60 km/h speed due to using only the muscular power of a passenger. The cabin is equipped with systems of ventilation, air conditioning, lighting, audio- and video-information for passengers.

The 14-passenger unibus is a public transport for a city, with the capacity for up to 14 people (12 standing and 2 seating). The maximum speed is 150 km/h. The performance of this SkyWay transport system equipped with unibuses can reach 50,000 passengers per hour, which is comparable to the capacity of the Moscow metro. The interior of the unibus is equipped with systems of ventilation, air conditioning, lighting, audio and video-information for passengers.

The 14-passenger unibus is a public transport for a city, with the capacity for up to 14 people

The motion of unibike and unibus is provided with a traction electric drive. The electric motors of the traction drive are combined with wheels into a single node - a motor wheel that allows to exclude transmission units (reduction gearboxes) and, respectively, to reduce size, weight and cost of the drive. The patented aerodynamic features of both vehicles (2-seat unibike and 14-passenger unibus) are by 3-5 times better in comparison to a railway wheel pair, and their wheel rolling resistance along the rail is reduced by 2 times. The control system of unibike and unibus is fully automated. SkyWay vehicles can be operated under various climatic conditions with outside storage. Their average lifetime is 25 years.

All of the above characteristics of a 2-seat unibike and a 14-passenger unibus are being confirmed during the acceptance testing. In addition, a great importance is paid to the user qualities of the created vehicles - comfort and safety of passengers, which are checked by test engineers. Acceptance tests will continue until they check all the significant features and confirm their compliance with the designed ones. Following this, a special Commission will consider issuing certificates for industrial designs, and the developer Company would be able to proceed to a small-scale production of these models to equip with them the SkyWay systems under construction.
