SkyWay was presented to the Crown Prince of Dubai and the Emir of Sharjah

Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, has examined the SkyWay transport technology, reports Khaleej Times with reference to the National news agency of the United Arab Emirates. This happened during the visit of the Crown Prince to Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority, RTA, where Mattar Al Tayer, Director-General and Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of the RTA, told him about the advantages of SkyWay technologies.

As Mattar Al Tayer noted in a publication at the Arabian Business portal, SkyWay will use 100 times less ground space compared to usual modes of transport with similar throughput capacity. At the same time, SkyWay modules surpass electric cars by 5 times in energy efficiency and require 10 times less infrastructure than traditional public transport systems.

Among the models presented to distinguished guests were a unibike and a single-section unicar. The Crown Prince of Dubai shared his impressions in Twitter.

The development of SkyWay project in the United Arab Emirates is also continuing in other regions. In mid-November, H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, the Emir of Sharjah and a member of the Supreme Allied Council of the United Arab Emirates, visited Sharjah Research, Technology and Innovation Park (SRTIP). During the meeting with Hamid Jafar, Member of the Board of Trustees of the American University of Sharjah, and Hussein Al Mahmoudi, CEO of the SRTIP, the Emir discussed issues of private-state cooperation in high technology, as well as plans for the construction of the Innovation Park.

It is noteworthy that one of the participants of the meeting, Hussein Al Mahmoudi, had previously the opportunity to examine SkyWay's developments during a visit to EcoTechnoPark as part of the delegation from the UAE in July 2018. He also participated in signing of documents on the construction of SkyWay Innovation Center in Sharjah.
