Participation of "Unitsky SPC" in the conference "Current State and Prospects for the Development of Transportation Infrastructures in the Regions of Russia"

The representatives of "Unitsky SPC" took part in the 3^rd international conference "Current State and Prospects for the Development of Transportation Infrastructures in the Regions of Russia" which took place in the town of Anapa from November 29 to December 2, 2001.

The main themes discussed at the Conference were as follows:

• Development of transportation communications in the context of the international transportation corridors.
• Attraction of investments to implement the large-scale investment projects: international and national practice.
• Information technologies to manage logistics systems.
• Formation of the integrated information environment in the transportation complex.
• Role of PR campaigns in the formation of a positive image of the Russian transportation complex, attraction of investments and freight traffic flows.

In the course of the Conference a report on theme "Improvement of Communication Infrastructure through the Use of a String Transportation System of Unitsky" was made by the Head of Division for External Economic Relations and Marketing of Unitsky Company. The presentation was accompanied by the demonstration of information video-clips showing a principal operational scheme of a UST system in its use for various purposes (to carry freights and passengers). Also demonstrated were the principal differences and advantages of a UST system against other existing modes of transportation, building technologies used for its construction and a testing stand operating in the town of Ozyory. The presentation, video-clips and the information about the existing projects aimed at the construction of UST routes (such as in the suburbs of Moscow, in the cities of Krasnodar and Krasnoyarsk, in Kazakhstan and abroad) aroused great interest among the conference participants which was expressed in a variety of questions asked and the appropriate answers given to them.

Among the Conference participants were the representatives of Kransodarsk Krai Administration, Administration Head of the resort town of Anapa, deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, representatives of more than 60 large-scale leading enterprises, international organisations and financial institutions, transportation associations, firms and companies, state-run and commercial structures of Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Baltic countries, England and USA.

Representatives of Unitsky Company took part in the negotiations with the potential investors and customers of a UST, including: Administration of a number of sea port-cities such as Tuapse, Novorossiisk, Rostov-on-Don, Astrakhan; representatives of Krasnodarsky Krai, the cities of Rostov-on-Don and Anapa, representatives of British and American companies that have the relevant experience in working at the Russian market and the actual practice of investment attraction.

The resolution adopted by the Conference was submitted to the Administration of Krasnodarsky Krai and the Ministry of Transportation of Russia.
