Coordinating Working Group was set up to implement the project of the UN Centre for Human Settlements (Habitat) No. FS-RUS-02-S03 "Provision of Sustainable Development of Human Settlements and Urban Environment Protection through the Use of the String Transportation System".

Mr. Anatoly Yunitskiy - the author and developer of UST was appointed the Project Manager. The Working Group consisting of 8 members was set up including the leading experts of the Company. At the first meeting of the Working Group the functions and responsibilities of each group member were specified and the strategy of the project performance was identified. The first task put forward for the Working Group is as follows: based on the experts' assessment to select two cities in the Russian Federation that have typical transportation problems and to initiate there the project activities. The cities Anapa, Pskov and Sochi are considered as the alternatives.
