Governor of Moscow Region is taking the next step to meet the interests of residents and guests of the metropolitan region: a good start was made on the construction of the highest-speed road "between the sky and the Earth" to the benefit of passengers

In the coming years a string transportation network should link all Moscow airports with each other and with the nearest underground stations. As ordered by the Governor of Moscow Region Mr. Gromov, a working group (in Russian) was set up to coordinate this activity.

Alongside with the first officials of the relevant ministries and departments of Moscow Region the federal executive bodies expressed their readiness to make their contribution to the promotion of UST idea and nominated the First Deputy Minister of Transportation of the Russian Federation to be included in the working group. This step is the evidence of the high assessment given by the competent governmental bodies to the string transportation and prospects for its application as a connecting link between aviation and urban carriers to serve rather as an equal partner than as a competitor.

Scientific and engineering issues will be coordinated by UST inventor Academician Yunitskiy himself and a number of the leading experts of his team. The work initiated by Mr. Gromov will be headed by his First Deputy Mr. Panteleyev.
