Visit of the delegation from Tanzania Last summer, the Deputy General Director for the development of SkyWay Technologies Co. Victor Baburin visited the United Republic of Tanzania at the invitation of the National Center for marketing and market pricing of the Republic of Belarus. Together with representatives of the Foreign Ministry, the inviting organization and exporting companies, he joined the monitoring group studying the prospects to increase export to the markets of Tanzania and other African countries. The visit of the group was held on July 11-15, 2016. In the course of negotiations with the leadership of the Ministry of foreign affairs, the Ministry of transport, the City Council of Dar es Salaam, the Tanzanian side expressed readiness to develop multi-faceted cooperation with the Republic of Belarus in trade, economic and humanitarian spheres. An historic event also took place in the framework of this visit: the first presentation of the Belarusian export potential at the East African International comprehensive exhibition "East Africa 2016" held in Dar es Salaam. At the talks held during the visit of the monitoring group from Belarus, the local authorities and specialists expressed great interest in the presentation of Yunitskiy's SkyWay transport conducted by Victor Baburin. In the negotiations that followed, the parties discussed the possibility of creating a perspective transport system by the SkyWay technology in Tanzania. On October 28, 2016 the office of the project Company hosted a return visit by a delegation of representatives of government and business from the URT headed by Mr. Francis Lukwaro - the CEO of the Tanzanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Chairman of its branch in Dar es Salaam, the largest city in the country with the population of 4 million people, being its economic capital. The negotiations were attended by the Managers of the SkyWay project: General Designer Anatoly Yunitskiy and Deputy General Director on development Victor Baburin, who have discussed the further progress of cooperation between the two countries with the guests. The United Republic of Tanzania is rich in natural resources (tin, phosphates, uranium, iron ore, coal, diamonds and other precious stones, gold, natural gas, nickel, etc.). Despite abundant natural resources, Tanzania's economy is based on agriculture, which employs about 80% of the workforce. The country produces and exports coffee, sisal, tea, cotton, cashew nuts, tobacco, cloves (spice), corn, grain, tapioca, bananas, fruits, vegetables. Livestock breeding is also developed, including cattle, sheep and goats. The industry is mostly engaged in processing agricultural products (sugar, beer, cigarettes), mining of diamonds, gold, iron ore, salt, manufacture of footwear. To develop the industrial production, extraction of minerals, as well as to increase the export potential of the agricultural sector, Tanzania needs to upgrade and develop the transport infrastructure of the country that its politicians and businesspersons understand perfectly well. The guests of the Belarusian capital also demonstrated great interest in the opportunity of the SkyWay technology application to arrange transport traffic to remote regions, explore mountain areas (let us recall that the highest point in Africa - 5,895 m - the Mount Kilimanjaro glorified by E. Hemingway is located in this country), develop tourism (most of the African sites are also located here: National Parks of Serengeti, Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro Crater, the world's second by area Lake Victoria, "the double of Baikal" - Lake Tanganyika and many more), connect riversides and build ocean ports. All of the above should provide a strong economic development of this East African state. As a result of the negotiations, the parties distributed responsibilities for the provision of initial information and the formation of a quotation offer. They have reached the agreement on further specific steps to determine promising targeted projects in the United Republic of Tanzania. |
