In the last week the SkyWay Group of Companies was in the midst of a series of events in India. If you are a little confused with the news from India, this detailed long reading will clarify everything.

The visit of delegation from Indian State of Himachal Pradesh

At the end of April the design organization, production facility and SkyWay demonstration center were visited by a delegation of Dharmshala municipality headed by Mr. Sudhir Sharma, urban development Minister of the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. The delegation also included CEO of the Swiss consulting company Castor Consulting AG Ms. Dorothea Jeger and the representative of the Indian community in Switzerland Mr. Rajwinder Singh.

SkyWay at Smart Cities India

After this SkyWay transport systems determined by their developers as a possible basis for the formation of the infrastructure of the 21^st century were presented at the Smart Cities India International Exhibition. It has taken place on May 10-12 in Pragati Maidan exhibition center in New Delhi, India.

Thanks to the Smart Cities program, SkyWay projects can be upscaled throughout the entire country, since it has been developed by the Country's Parliament to modify urban areas and to create infrastructure for a stable society in 109 cities. The algorithm of its implementation - the creation of "smart" satellites near major centers - coincides with the concept of a Smart Linear City from SkyWay. Thus, Smart Linear City concept may become a leading technology to create a network of satellites.

Smart Linear City

This time the visit of the delegation was not typical for visits to international exhibitions, because along with types of string transport, the ambitious concept Smart Linear City was presented to the public.

In his speech General designer of the development company, author of the project Mr. Anatoly Yunitskiy commented on SkyWay importance and prospects for India: "The road network in today's India covers more than 4.5 million kilometers. Over 200,000 people die on these roads and over a million are injured as a result of traffic accidents. 'Rolled up' in asphalt and 'buried' under railway sleepers is fertile soil, equal in its area to the territories of three countries, such as Israel. On the territory ten times larger, soils along roads are degraded and contaminated with carcinogens. At such rate, approximately 20 mln people in India will have died and about 100 mln will have become handicapped with chances of premature deaths by the end of the century.

However, all this can be avoided in a state with Smart Linear Cities (SLC). It is an entirely pedestrian city of a cluster type, about 1 km in diameter, with up to 10,000 inhabitants. Clusters are built in the logic of accessibility for pedestrians, within 500 m from the center. In the center, there is a dominating building, through which all communication lines pass - SkyWay string tracks, located above the ground surface, i.e. on the "second level". Interchange stations to transfer from urban tracks (speed - up to 150 km/h) to high-speed intercity tracks (speed - up to 500 km/h) and underground hyperspeed tracks located in forevacuum tubes (speed - up to 1,500 km/h) are also placed in them. Our group of companies is ready to implement this solution on the territory of India."

Memorandum of understanding in Dharmshala

The event was held in the framework of the parties' cooperation with the purpose of building a transport system by SkyWay technology in the city of Dharmshala. According to the Minister for urban development of the state Sudhir Sharma, the first phase of the facility would be commissioned in the next three years.

The Minister added Dharmshala would be a pioneer in introducing the innovative technology and the first city in the state, where the fare on the new line will be very affordable. To implement the project, the 15-km route in Dharmshala will be performed in two phases: at the first one, an 8 km-long elevated track of overpass type will be built, at the second stage the rest of the line will be completed.

The media could not let pass unnoticed such a meaningful event in the life of India as the arrival of a new transport system. The beginning of cooperation was reported by the leading media of the region: Times of India, The Tribune, IndiaToday, The Hindu, Times Mumbai, Financial Express and many others.

Jharkhand. EcoTechnoPark in India?

In Ranchi, the Chief Minister of Jharkhand state Raghubar Das had a meeting with the joint Belarusian-Indian delegation at his residence in Kanka road. The local press were quick to give the name EсoTechnoPark to the future object. It sounds flattering and speaks of the brand recognition, but the name would be a slight exaggeration for the test section of the route, which is the first part of the project in this state.

The talks were attended by the Secretary to the Chief Minister Sunil Kumar Charakal, Chairman of TENACI company Harish Mehta, Board member and company's managing Director Pranav Mehta, as well as business development Director Victor Baburin. This meeting was held on the trail of the trilateral investment agreement signed earlier.

Meeting of Dalai Lama and Anatoly Yunitskiy

The brightest of non-engineer events was that at the initiative of Tibet's spiritual leader Dalai Lama, SkyWay General Designer Anatoly Yunitskiy met with him in the city of Dharmshala. This event is associated with the introduction of the SkyWay transportation system in this city, where His Holiness resides since 1959. A significant influx of people to the city with a relatively small territory and challenging terrain leads to serious logistical problems, which the state is planning to solve with the help of SkyWay technology.

Anatoly Yunitskiy's meeting with Dalai Lama included a presentation of the project to create the route of SkyWay string transport in the city. The General Designer explained to His Holiness his vision of the future world order, in which man and nature would be able to exist in harmony with each other, and transport would cease to be a problem not only in Dharmshala, but also everywhere in the world. The views of the inventor of string transport were in tune with the worldview of Tibet's spiritual leader. His Holiness wished Anatoly Yunitskiy success in implementing his plans and approved of the forthcoming construction.
