The Belarusian Transport Week holding the XI International specialized exhibition Transport and Logistics 2017, which included in addition to the exhibition an eventful business programme, has just finished. The event was organized by the Ministry of Transport and Communications. The preparations for this important international forum were led by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus Anatoly Kalinin, who headed the organizing committee for the Belarusian Transport Week.

SkyWay Technologies Co. could not miss such an event. Our company also participated in this exhibition last year. Then, a 2-seat unibike and a 14-seat unibus were presented to the Belarusian and international community. Key business contacts were established during the event, which played a great role in the progress of the Unitsky String Transport achieved in the past year.

At the event held from October 3 to 5, 2017 our exhibition booth showed the security module, operating models of the rolling stock and the demonstration model of the SkyWay track structure, the unibus in-wheel motor and the industrial design of a three-section unicar that became the highlight of the programme. This is a type of public seat-only transport, which is as comfortable as a car and consists of sections accommodating six people each. The optimal quantity for one rolling stock is up to seven passengers depending on the line load. Like other types of SkyWay rolling stock, the unicar also moves along the overpass, which allows to unclog city streets addressing one of the biggest problems of modern megalopolises. The maximum speed is 150 km/h, the line capacity is over 50,000 passengers per hour, whereas the longitudinal slope of the track can reach 30%.

The role of the Belarusian Transport Week in the development of transport infrastructure and logistics system in the Republic of Belarus and neighboring countries cannot be overestimated since it contributes to attracting innovations and investments, as well as to the growth of international transportation. We felt it after the top leaders of the Republic and foreign delegations visited our booth. The joint visit of the Association of International Road Carriers BAMAP and the Finnish Association of Transport and Logistics SKAL proved to be the most representative. The SkyWay Technologies Co. booth was also visited by logistics students, young railway specialists, media, businessmen, etc. Everybody had both numerous questions and interesting proposals.
