Representatives of the leading transport universities of Belarus visited SkyWay EcoTechnoPark

On November 14, 2017, SkyWay EcoTechnoPark was visited by a delegation of this country's leading Universities that prepare engineers for the transport sector - Belarusian National Technical University and Belarusian National University of transport. The delegation, numbering more than 20 people, in addition to the teaching staff also included students taking an active part in the research activities of the Universities.

The visit was initiated by the Dty Prime Minister Anatoly Kalinin, who is in charge of the Belarusian transport sector. Last summer, during the visit to SkyWay Technologies Co., he recommended to organize such visit to SkyWay EcoTechnoPark for would-be engineers and experts of the transport industry.

SkyWay Technologies Co. was represented by the General designer Anatoly Yunitskiy, who demonstrated to the guests the development of SkyWay project designing organization and personally conducted a tour around EcoTechnoPark. At the end of the meeting, Anatoly Yunitskiy has delivered a lecture on the subject "Optimal transport. What is it?", in which he shared his vision of the immediate trends in the development of the global transport industry.

Dmitry Bochkaryov, Dean of construction faculty at the Belarusian National University of transport: "The impressions are most positive. We saw the pilot samples of vehicles and tracks for their motion [...] It was very impressive and interesting [...]. In future, we'll be able to collaborate with you in testing these vehicles, solving some issues of design and projects."

Anatoly Skobeida, Professor, Head of Department "Machine components, lifting-transport machines and mechanisms", Belarusian National Technical University: "During two and a half years such a great work has been done that it cannot be overestimated [...]. We asked many questions today and the answers were comprehensive. It confirms that they are proceeding with a very serious, targeted and effective work."

Expect the full version of Anatoly Yunitskiy's speech in the near future, and for now, we offer to your attention a short video report on the event.

Translation of the video:

Mikhail Kirichenko: Hallo everybody! Here is Mikhail Kirichenko with you. You are watching SkyWay news, where we tell you about the developments and implementation of breakthrough transport technologies. Today we have rather an important event at EcoTechnoPark near Maryina Gorka. We are hosting here a representative delegation of above 20 people - professors and Principals of our country's leading Universities that prepare engineers for the transport sector. I hope after the presentation of SkyWay transport some of them will answer our questions or at least share their impressions. The visit was initiated by the Dty Prime Minister Anatoly Kalinin, who is in charge of the Belarusian transport sector. Last summer, during the visit to SkyWay Technologies Co., he recommended to organize such visit to SkyWay EcoTechnoPark for the would-be engineers and experts of the transport industry. In addition to the administration of the Universities, the delegation of professors of above 20 people also included students actively engaged with scientific research. The guests were met by the creator of SkyWay transport Anatoly Yunitskiy, who has conducted a tour around EcoTechnoPark, described the features of this unique facility, explained its significance, made a demonstration of string and ecological technologies and shared his vision of development prospects for these transport- infrastructure complexes around the world. At the end of the visit the Company's General designer has read to the visitors a lecture "Optimal transport. What is it?". After that, he answered numerous questions from the guests. It should be only noted that the guests were so impressed with what they saw that the meeting continued much longer than it was planned. Therefore, the visit to SkyWay production facilities was postponed for the next time. We offer you to watch some of these impressions.

Dmitry Bochkaryov: Good afternoon! I am Dmitry Bochkaryov, Dean of construction faculty at the Belarusian National University of transport, city of Gomel. The impressions are most positive. We have seen much. We saw the pilot samples of vehicles and tracks for their motion. These samples were of great interest, because the data we had before coming here was incomplete. We had to see everything done with our own eyes. It was very impressive and interesting.

M.K.: Has your opinion about SkyWay technology improved or gone sour compared to what you thought before coming here?

D.B.: Certainly, it improved. We have seen real samples that can ride. They are moving, you can travel in them, touch them. We, transport professional, are of the opinion that it will work. And in future only time will show the efficiency and set the record straight. In future, we'll be able to collaborate with you in testing these vehicles, solving some issues of design, projects, tracks and structures. We can also be your partners. We are transport engineers, too.

M.K.: We shall be very glad about it. We shall only welcome any help and cooperation. Thank you for coming and sharing your professional view sincerely.

D.B.: Thank you for the invitation. I hope we shall operate the things that we have seen in the near future.

Alexander Aksyonchikov: Senior lecturer at the Department "Control of operation work" at the Belarusian National University of transport.

M.K.: What are your impressions after visiting EcoTechnoPark?

A.A.: Before visiting EcoTechnoPark I have studied in detail all the developments by Anatoly Yunitskiy. I have read his website, his books and watched videos posted there. Certainly, it is better to see it all in reality. As the proverb goes, it is better to see once than to hear a hundred times. I was especially impressed by the unibuses, those cabins, and the way they move.

M.K.: What can you say as an expert, whether the future is with this transport or you think railways will remain inviolable forever? Perhaps, you see some prospects for SkyWay's place in the sun.

A.A.: I think there will be a place for SkyWay transport. However, most probably it will be a tandem. To my opinion, SkyWay transport will not manage to push out the existing railway and automobile modes of transport. If we start to build a city from zero, then OK, I would agree the whole infrastructure might be based on SkyWay transport. However, it might come to the existing cities in some 50-100 years. It would be difficult to replace infrastructure in the existing cities with SkyWay. The future for it will be in tandem. And this future is quite bright.

M.K.: And between cities, where there is no developed infrastructure and there is enough place.

A.A.: Right, there are good prospects for it between cities. The expanse is great there, where SkyWay transport may service both passenger and freight traffic. The prospect to transport passengers and cargo between cities with SkyWay is quite promising.

M.K.: Thank you very much, especially for the tandem. We are happy to cooperate with everyone. Thank you for coming and sharing you professional opinion.

A.A.: Thank you for this opportunity to watch this transport in experimental variant before its implementation in life.

Anatoly Skobeida: Professor, Belarusian National Technical University, Chief of Department.

M.K.: Anatoly, we are pleased to see you at SkyWay EcoTechnoPark. Please tell us how you estimate the things you saw today.

A.S.: I can tell I knew about this trend and read about it for a long time now. I was always interested to examine it closer. Today it is the first time that I have the honor to see it with my own eyes. Certainly, I had some skepticism before that something was not quite the way as it was described. Today my impressions surpassed all expectations. You have done not only what was described, but even much more. The prospects here are such that there is a feeling it will develop on and on. As the creators say, during two and a half years such a great work has been done that it cannot be overestimated. Everything is made here in reality. The staff are very well educated, feel their tasks very distinctly, are deeply intelligent in all aspects: material sciences, mechanics, electronics, selection of motors and materials. We asked many questions today and the answers were comprehensive. It confirms that they are proceeding with a very serious, targeted and effective work. They have presented such projects that can introduce a completely innovative infrastructure in our cities. Not only in the Republic of Belarus, though it is very important that it would originate from Belarus. It will become the best brand of our Republic. Perhaps, not all of the ideas generated here will be implemented, but this trend will find its niche. No doubt about it! They showed us the examples to implement various options of structures, rolling stock design, and provision of aerodynamic resistance shape. They have reached such results that cannot be ensured in any land mode of transport. These are my first impressions. I hope to come here more often, because I want to follow the development of this direction myself. We are mechanic and transport engineers, my specialization is automobiles and tractors. But here they also have rolling stock and all these issues are closely related. I think the technology should be included in the educational process. Our students should be aware that such trend exists, that it is a promising trend. It will only raise their level as transport engineers. I repeat this technology should not go to some other place. Everyone should know that it was born in Belarus, that its motherland is Belarus and our Belarusian engineers worked it out. I am greatly impressed, happy I am here today and saw what has been done. Thank you.

M.K.: Thank you very much. Your professional opinion is very important to us. Sign up to our YouTube channel. Stay tuned to the news update at our official website. Support our project and you will always be proud of your country and your compatriots.
