EcoTechnoPark: construction work at the cargo complex

SkyWay cargo transport complexes have a number of advantages compared to all other systems used today. The basic layout of the Skyway cargo overpass implies that the main loads from the superstructure and rolling stock are transferred to anchor supports, which allows making the intermediate support lightweight, low-costly and convenient for installation without loss of its strength. The support can be made of metal parts and reinforced concrete structures, both prefabricated and monolithic.

Anchor supports of the cargo complex can have a dual-purpose design: they can be combined with the supporting frame of various construction structures and buildings, for example, loading/unloading terminals, production workshops, factories, etc. These can also be depots, premises for technological equipment, U-turn track sections or other facilities that ensure the performance of SkyWay transport/infrastructure complex as a whole.

The operation of SkyWay cargo transport complex will not need powerful drive stations, as in conveyor systems and cable freight ways. They do not need connection to major power lines along the entire transport system. No need for annual replacement of expensive conveyor belts. Unlike railway electric and Diesel locomotives or a truck drive that can fail at any place of the route, a reliable and durable stationary engine of an external drive in the SkyWay transport complex, constantly operating in the regular mode, will be easy to repair.

These and other features make SkyWay cargo complexes one of the most efficient, affordable and profitable on the market. More information about SkyWay cargo complexes can be found in the article "Competitive advantages of SkyWay cargo transport complex for transportation of rock mass".

The Chief designer of SkyWay cargo transport complex Dmitry Tikhonov tells in an interview about the news of the current stage of building the test section of the cargo transport system, as well as its design features and specifics.

Translation of the video:

Mikhail Kirichenko: Hallo! Here is Mikhail Kirichenko with you. You are watching SkyWay news, where we are reporting on the developments and implementation of breakthrough transport technologies. We are now at the pilot production facility of SkyWay Technologies Co. Our story today is about the construction of the cargo transportation system.

Our talk partner today is the Chief designer of the cargo transportation system Dmitry Tikhonov. Hallo, Dmitry!

Dmitry Tikhonov: Good day!

M.K.: Tell us, please, what is the stage of creating the cargo system? We haven't reported on it for quite a while.

D.T.: At present we are assembling metal structures at the construction site. Today we are starting operation of a conveyor at the loading/unloading terminal that you could see on-site. I'd like to explain briefly what it is. The loading/unloading terminal is needed to convey and store bulk cargo. Generally, it consists of three parts: a bunker that you have seen, a 38-meter long belt conveyor that will deliver cargo to 12-meter height, and then the bulk cargo will get to the unitrans belt from there. The cargo complex operation includes functioning of two systems. These are a system of continuous transportation with unitrans and a system of single pod functioning, i.e. with unitrucks. Presently, we are assembling support metal structures that will include directly the operation of these two systems.

M.K.: What about this design behind us? It also looks like some transportation belt.

D.T.: Yes. It is a part of our continuous transportation system. It is an external drive. The external drive unit is designed to transmit the traction force to the unitrans belt. In future, this unit will pull about 915 meters of the belt.

M.K.: Can we see it in action?

D.T.: Certainly. We can do it in some rolling stroke.

M.K.: Dmitry, what are your next steps to build the cargo system?

D.T.: We plan to finish the construction and assembly work at the loading/unloading terminal and to start installation of another component of the cargo complex - the unloading/loading terminal.

M.K.: They sound completely the same.

D.T.: No, they are different. The loading/unloading terminal supplies cargo for loading with a conveyor belt of our unitrans. And the unloading/loading terminal is used to unload the delivered cargo into the unitruck system.

M.K.: When shall we see it all in operation?

D.T.: As for the deadline, I can only say that we scheduled to get the completed version of this transport system by the end of July.

M.K.: Does it mean the EcoFest guests will see this transport system completed in full and in operation?

D.T.: For safety reasons, the continuous operation of the unitrans system will not be demonstrated. However, the guests will be surely able to see the completed version of this cargo transport system.

M.K.: Thank you very much, Dmitry. Sign up to our youtube channel. Follow the news update at our official website. Support our project. And then whatever problems life loads on you, we will unload them easily.
