Efficient, ergonomic and comfortable Unimobile at InvaExpo-2018 The company-developer of SkyWay technology has presented an electric car for people with disabilities that has no analogues in the world. The novelty was called "Unimobile". For the first time the car can be operated without leaving a wheelchair, in which a person can enter the interior through a special door. The unimobile can be seen at the specialized exhibition "InvaExpo. Society for All", which is held from 12 to 14 September, 2018 onsite of VDNKh (Exhibition of Economic Achievements) in Moscow. The unimobile is designed with the purpose to remove the obstacles in mobility, which are usually typical for converted standard models. The novelty is hardly similar to any of the presently existing cars. This is due to the fact that all of its parameters, from the length of the body to the reverse-hinged doors, unusual for domestic car amateurs, are determined by the specific needs of people with disabilities. The development at the mass production stage will be a fully-fledged vehicle that will enable people with disabilities to fully realize their potential to reach their place of work, study, recreation and have a more independent way of life. The car is designed taking into account the ergonomic features of wheelchair users its unusual design is due to the fact that many of the engineering solutions used in unimobile are not applied in standard cars. For example, in the back, where a conventional car has a trunk, unimobile has a ramp-lift, therefore the rear door is made flat. Dimensions and design of the vehicle allow to park perpendicular to the sidewalk, which greatly facilitates boarding/deboarding and makes it possible to leave the vehicle at general parking areas, but not only in special places. The serial unimobile will meet all the safety requirements for M1 class cars and can be used on public roads. As an option, the car can be equipped with an electrically driven wheelchair of the Company's own design with a cruising range of up to 40 km. The vehicle was built on the basis of available set of innovative developments, previously successfully implemented in SkyWay string transport systems, in which special electric vehicles equipped with an intelligent control system are used as rolling stock. Thus, the Company intends not only to create a socially-oriented product with its market, but also to solve in parallel a number of tasks related to SkyWay project implementation. This development has already attracted interest at InvaExpo exhibition: Tatyana Batysheva, member of the working group at the Commission under the President of the Russian Federation for Disabled People, secretary of the Public Council under the Moscow City Health Department and deputy of the Moscow City Duma, has visited SkyWay Technologies display stand. |
