SkyWay in Nigeria

SkyWay Capital delegation visited Lagos, the largest city in Nigeria, and held talks on cooperation in the field of transport sector with the local and federal government, reports the news Agency "This Day".

As part of the meetings held in Lagos, SkyWay representatives explained the advantages of string transportation systems and the opportunities they provide, as well as noted the project is ready for implementation and is open for cooperation. The way connecting the largest city in Nigeria, Lagos, with the country's capital Abuja was defined as a possible route for SkyWay transport.

SkyWay's Nigerian partner, former Chairman of local government in Amuwo-Odofin area Ayodele Adewale pointed out: "I believe there is the need for government to provide incentives for the company to move in their equipment because the project after its implementation will be a win-win situation for both parties."

Nigeria is one of the largest exporters of hydrocarbons in the world. It ranks eighth in the world and first in Africa in oil exports. The country is among the leaders in the export of liquefied natural gas, too. Not so long ago, Nigeria emerged as the leader in gross domestic product among African countries surpassing South Africa. The country's economy has recently begun to receive funds not only from oil export, but also from foreign investments, in particular, from China: more than 10 billion dollars have been invested in the country's infrastructure and industry since 2010.
