Nearly 5,000 participants of EcoFest 2017 held on July 1, 2017 in SkyWay EcoTechnoPark near Maryina Gorka, Republic of Belarus, were struck by the unusual form of address to them from the creator of SkyWay transport technology Anatoly Yunitskiy - it was delivered in the form of a film message.

In contrast to the destructive creation of the Russian engineer Garin from a science fiction novel by Aleksey Tolstoy, who inspired us to the heading of today's news release, Yunitskiy's General Planetary Vehicle is invented and worked out at the engineering level in the name of saving the humanity.

In the video interview offered to your attention, recorded in of the studios of the Belarusian TV, Anatoly Yunitskiy sets out his credo - yes, no more, no less! The record was made as part of shooting the film that became the address of the General designer to the guests of the festival, and its piece completed this footage.

The film, which tells of a possible destiny for humanity if it does not listen to the inventor's warning, will be posted in the near future.

Mikhail Kirichenko: Dear Anatoly! You are known as one of the first futurologists, who began to speak about the necessity to transfer industry into the outer space or rather into the near-Earth space, into the orbit. Moreover, as an engineer, you offered a detailed, thoroughly developed technologically alternative, i.e. non-rocket version on how to do it. Your project of the General Planetary Vehicle (GPV) was offered 40 years ago.

Anatoly Yunitskiy: Almost 40 years ago.

M.K.: OK, almost 40 years ago. It is interesting to know what is the most important in it to your opinion: economical, technological or environmental aspect?

A.Y.: Actually, all of it is important. The planet Earth with everything located on it, including our human civilization, is a unified system. To allow it functioning normally, it is very important to keep the balance. At a certain moment, our man-made civilization has upset this balance. It threatens with a disaster, which, provided nothing is changed, will occur within 2-3 generations at maximum. In forty, fifty, sixty years. The mankind will be killed by its own child - the industry. Look around. Environmental situation is deteriorating right in front of your eyes. We see it. Degradation of soil, new diseases that never existed before, epidemics, destruction of the ozone layer, daily disappearance of several types of living organisms. Dirty water that we drink, dirty food that we eat, dirty air that we breathe in. Not only us, but our children, too. The more technology is developing, the worse it becomes for the living nature, strange as it may seem. It could not have been otherwise. The industry rebuilds the living nature for itself, in the same way as long ago the living nature has rebuilt for itself a lifeless dead planet by uplifting it. At that time, there was no oxygen. Therefore, now the Earth has an atmosphere with its oxygen, biosphere with a fertile soil, containing a trillion of residents-microorganisms in each kilogram. The whole biological variety on the planet has appeared from the waste products of living organisms. From those of them that died and got rotten in soil and water. Life on the planet has been developing for billions of years and is prospering until now on the wastes of life. The man-made industry acts in the same way. However, it consumes the dead matter. Oil, natural gas, coal. They are created as a result of death and decaying of living organisms. It is a materialized death. And this is what is needed for the operation of technology. The faster the technological civilization is developing on the planet Earth, the more of these sources of energy it needs. And the less space remains for the life on the planet, for us. The technology cannot process a lifeless thing into a living one. It makes changes only in one direction - from the lifeless to the lifeless, or from the living thing to the lifeless one, i.e. it kills everything living. Primitive people, who started first fireplaces in their caves, poisoned themselves with carbon monoxide and carcinogen, dying of lungs cancer at the age of 20 years. It was even at that time. However, they thought out to remove their available primitive technologies (fireplace, frying meat on charcoal, processing skins) outside of their home - a cave. Therefore, they managed to survive. The same situation emerged after the industrial revolution, when they started to remove factories outside the city limits. Later industrially developed countries started to transfer production facilities to other regions and to other continents. Well, we know it. It happens everywhere. And now there came the moment, when there are no more places to transfer it. The whole planet is occupied. The whole planet turned out to be that primitive cave, in which billions of more powerful and more hazardous industrial fires are burning daily. That's why, to survive tomorrow, we should transfer the industrial technosphere outside the natural biosphere. Otherwise the biosphere, our common home, a single one for all, or rather not a home, but a large common room without partitions, will be inevitably and unavoidably eliminated by the industry located in the same niche. Our technocratic civilization creates and develops it on the planet.

M.K.: What about those ecological programs that are being implemented in the world today?

A.Y.: Generally speaking, they will not change anything in the global sense. If the industrial technosphere will continue to occupy the same niche with the biosphere, nothing will change. Moreover, these two modes will not be able to live together on the planet. They have opposite, antagonistic vectors of development, occupying at the same time one and the same spatial niche. They are staying on the planet Earth. From the soil to the upper layers of atmosphere. Therefore, ecological programs are only an attempt to let the humanity to exist a little longer, to postpone the death but not to avoid it.

M.K.: OK, then what about the existing programs of outer space exploration? They are available with the USA, China, Russia, the EU and many other countries. Wouldn't it be reasonable to go on working in the determined logics than to create such a large-scale innovative structure as the GPV? It would need huge resources difficult to imagine.

A.Y.: Well, one can continue going to the dead-end. Further development in the determined logics means further movement towards this dead-end. The existing space programs are inefficient and insanely expensive. Any large-scale space industrialization in them is out of the question. At the same time, the mankind has all the required things to design and build the GPV. First, finances. Perhaps, the most important aspect. About USD 1.5 trillion is needed. Seems much, but it is only 2-3 annual military budgets of the USA. That means they will spend on wars 2-3 times more than the amount needed to build the GPV. Second, metal. About 100 mln tons is needed. A bit less, a bit more. It is the same quantity that is melted in the world within a couple of weeks. Or the same quantity of steel spent in several months for the production of vehicles. Just vehicles. Two or three months. Third, concrete. About 10 mln cubic meters are needed. It seems a lot, but in fact, it is the same quantity that was spent to build the only dam of Sayano-Shushenskaya hydro power plant. Now compare what Sayano-Shushenskaya hydro power plant solves and what the GPV solves. With the same quantity of concrete. Fourth, energy power. To make one entry to the space - just listen to the figures - for one transportation of 10 mln tons of cargo and 10 mln of passengers the existing space systems, available modern cosmonautics, space industry of the entire world, of the whole planet, would need 100,000 years. Just for what the GPV will do for one entry in space. Let's compare it. Only 100 mln kW is needed to perform it. It is comparable with the total capacity of jet engines in one spaceship, of one heavy rocket-carrier of Space Shuttle type that takes 10-20-30 tons of cargo into space. The capacity is equal.

M.K.: There will be no ozone hole of France's territory made in the atmosphere?

A.Y.: Moreover, we shall patch it up. We shall mend it. If we use oxygen as ballast needed there. We shall throw it into the atmosphere, where under the strong UV radiation from the Sun it will dissolve for ozone, we shall mend the hole. All of it is possible to make true in the years to come. It will result in the reduction of prime cost for geocosmic haulage (Earth - space, space - Earth) by thousands of times. Not by 1, 2, 3, 5, 7, but by thousands of times! From dozens mln dollars down to several thousands dollars for 1 ton. What is happening now? Launching you into space is equal to producing a stature of yours of gold. Just of your size. And in future your transportation into space will cost you USD 100 only.

M.K.: Alright, if it is feasible already today, at least in the near future, what prevents it? As I understand, the only obstacle on the way to achieve your goal is the disunity of people. To build a GPV, people of the whole world should unite somehow.

A.Y.: Certainly. Such project can unite all countries, the whole mankind with its common plans and objectives. However, this is not the major problem. Even one country can cope with such project. For example, such countries, as the USA, Russia, China. But conservatism is preventing. Eternal fear. It is always present in regards of something new, reluctance to change anything. However, the main thing is lack of understanding that the Earth's civilization simply doesn't have any other way of development. It is not important, whether we understand it or not, but if we do not understand it, the no-return point will emerge. So as to realize it, it is necessary to realize the responsibility. It is not so much really. Love and care for the family, for the children, grandchildren. Care about the world they will live in, and whether there will be life on this planet at all. If people think about this, but not about the things they are thinking on today in the consumer society: amenities, entertainments, luxury cars, money and so on, understanding will come to them very quickly. If they do not, it will come, too. Unfortunately, too late. To their grandchildren, when nothing can be changed ever.

M.K.: The main character from one of my favorite movies said, "They force us to want cars and garments, and we have to do the work we hate so as to buy the things that we do not need at all."

A.Y.: This is the consumer society. Somebody profits from it. Those, who profit from it, consume even more. They buy not burgers, but Boeings, islands, submarines, long yachts, etc. They also consume.

M.K.: And oil in tons.

A.Y.: In millions of tons. They force us to consume and created this consumer society. But this is a destructive path. A path to nowhere.
